Are you a mom who knows there's more out there for you, but you're not sure where to start?

Maybe you're lacking the courage and structure to take the first step, but you'd love to start something of your own? Do you have a few minutes for yourself each day over the Easter holidays that you’d like to use meaningfully to move forward?

Then you're in the right place! Take part in this challenge and get ready to discover your business idea in just 5 days!

Day 1 – Discover Your Strengths (even if you think you don’t have any)

It’s not always easy to identify your own strengths, especially when you spend most of your time with kids. Think about your past and your current everyday life and ask yourself a few questions:

  • What are my hobbies and interests?

  • What are my talents?

  • What experiences have I gained so far in life?

  • What would your friends or family say you're good at?

Examples:

  • You love being creative and enjoy crafting.

  • You’re organized.

  • You’re good at decorating rooms.

Exercise: Write down 10 things you’re good at and also enjoy doing. These can be in all kinds of directions.

Day 2 – Discover What Others Are Looking For (and How You Can Help)

For your own business, it’s also important to offer something that others need or are searching for. To find out, you can type your strengths or related terms into Google or Pinterest and see if there are a lot of results. If results appear frequently, you can assume there’s real demand.

Here are some examples again:

  • Crafting Easter decorations with kids

  • Ideas for children’s birthday parties

  • How can I make a room look bigger?

Exercise: Write down 3 recurring topics or problems.

Day 3 – Choose a Topic That Sustains You

Now you know where your strengths lie and what others are looking for. Today, choose one of the three topics that came up frequently during your research yesterday.

It should be a topic that interests you in the long run. Even if you don’t know much about it yet, that’s okay — you can learn more over time. What matters is that you feel passionate about it.

Exercise: Decide on a topic that feels right to you.

Day 4 – Your First Mini-Action

Now it’s time for implementation. Choose a platform like Instagram, Pinterest, or TikTok and create your first post. Share your knowledge and ideas. It could be a tutorial or you could share your experience with a certain product.

Your social media post doesn’t have to be perfect — just get started and stay consistent with your posting. That way, you’ll gain reach. Over time, you’ll learn and grow.

Exercise: Publish your first post.

Day 5 – Your Vision and Next Step

Today, take some time to think about your goal.

What do you want to achieve?

When and how much time can you prioritize for your business?

Keep your goals in mind so you can stick with it even in a busy daily life.

Exercise: Write down your vision and hang it up somewhere visible so you’re constantly reminded of it and stay motivated.

Tip:

When starting your own business, it’s especially important to build an audience and gain trust. Stay consistent with your posts, and when you feel the time is right, you can start adding affiliate links, for example. That way, you recommend products and receive a commission whenever one is sold.
