Everyone has a busy schedule these days, and it often only gets busier. There simply aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done. As a stay-at-home mom, most of your time is dedicated to your children and household. After a long day, you might fall asleep with unfinished tasks on your to-do list. The next day, you start your routine all over again, spending much of your time at home with your children. The idea of an online business is appealing, but it doesn't seem to fit into your schedule right now. I understand that feeling. I always want to accomplish many different tasks, but I often don't manage to get everything done.
Personally, I don't like the phrase "I don't have time." In my opinion, if you truly want to do something, you'll find the time. If you don't have time for something, it's probably not a top priority. So I encourage you to think about what's truly important to you, your goals, and what you want to achieve in life. Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten years?
Right now, you're primarily a stay-at-home mom. Perhaps you want your life to remain the same for the next few years. Or maybe you want to return to full-time work. Or you might be seeking a middle ground, such as part-time work. An online business could be a great fit, allowing you to be a stay-at-home mom while working on a flexible schedule from anywhere with Wi-Fi and a laptop.
I've been in exactly this situation and decided to give an online business a try. I can tell you, it takes time and hard work. You won't become successful overnight. But this business model offers the opportunity to grow and build something for yourself. Investing time in learning the necessary skills is definitely worth it in the long run.
I started by dedicating one to two hours each evening, after my son went to sleep, to learning the skills needed to start an online business. Sometimes I skipped a day. Of course, other things received less attention than usual, but I was focused on my goal and made it a priority. There were days when I felt like giving up, especially when I didn't see immediate results, but it was crucial to stay focused on my goal. I visualized my desired outcome and where I wanted to be in life. It definitely wasn't always easy, but you have to persevere to see results and success.
Now it's your turn. Make a list of the things and tasks that are important to you, and another list of your goals for the next five and ten years. Take your time, and be honest about your goals.
Do this for yourself and follow these lists. Achieve your goals, and in a few months or years, you can look back with satisfaction and pride on what you've accomplished.
Starting an online business might or might not be on your list and among your goals. If it is, it's a great goal to pursue! What do you have to lose?
You might also think it sounds like a great goal but that right now isn't the right time to start a business. You might want to wait until you finish something else. That might be true, but when will it ever be the right time? After you finish a specific task or a special event happens, the next important to-dos may arise. I'd say the perfect time to start a business is NOW. You just have to prioritize it and take the time to build it.
